Today was our last day in Phuket. We spent all day on the beach which you think would be nice and relaxing....here its not! Every 3 min you have a thai walking past trying to sell you something. First it was a kitchen whisk! Now why and where would i use it? Next a wooden motorcyle the size of a pillow...again why? Bikinis....no changing room, a wooden elephant pot thing....i dont know, suitcases....ah i have one, dressing gowns,a whole shop of clothes on a womens back, chicken skewers which have been cooked by the sun....then finally ice creams!!! We got one! He knew what to sell! They are all very cute and nice though unlike the taxi drivers and the people in the street shops. A nice little thai women came up to me and i had to read a english written email out to her as she can not read english only hear it. We spent all day on the beach but made sure we put plenty of sunblock on as the sun seems to evil here as we feel like we have been in a toastee machine, the travel doctor did say to us our malaria tablets would make you burn easier. Our meals have been pretty tasty so far. Rice for breakfast with vegetables and bacon you cant get much better than that. We went to the night market tonight, the motorbikes with kitchens hanging of the side market! During the day we saw a lady driving along the road with her fire oven going, on the back with her some sort of meat skewers cooking on the back! That women knows how to multitask! At the market i got my favourite dish pad thai, it was so delish, she cooked it in front of me on her bike, 50 bhat which is like a $1.60. Tim got duck on rice from a different place which was selling bugs. Dessert banana pancake. Very cheap dinner and yummy! We are off to phi phi island tomorrow on boat takes about 3 hours! Talk soon, love you all xxxx
