So we arrived safely into hoi an a very long bus trip through the windy vietnam cliffs hoping you wouldnt fly of the edge or the breaks fail. It was another sleeper bus but not as bad as that other one we had. We just couldnt lay flat again. They are designed for dawrfs! Beautiful views along the way! When we got into hoi an, everything was flooded, head stones poking out of the water, ( Each headstone is like a mini temple/house), boats, trees destroyed, roofs flowen off, water in peoples little iron houses. We stopped before the bus went through the water and became a boat they took the bags from underneath and put them by the driver. Off we went sailing down the river making waves hitting these poor vietnam woman wetting there pulled up pants, hitting little house into there dinning room while eating.
We arrived at the bus stop and walked to our hotel, they dont have hostels here. $10 is not too bad for a hotel. There had been a cyclone the day before we arrived and has made a real mess of the little town. Trees ripped out, big piles of branches and leaves, sand bags and rocks on roofs to keep them down. It was very interesting to see! Hoi an is the place to get a suit. We were reccomened by our tour guide in dalat to go to kimmys the tailors. Tim needed to get one for Clint and Alysias wedding that is in a few weeks so we deciced to get one! Let me just say he looks very handsome! Kelsey also got a jacket made. Very friendly lovley people here in hoi an. The town is very old and the buildings are yellow with moss growing all over them. Shops are mostly tailors, every second store is one. Full moon tomorrow which means in hoi an the lantern festival. Then we leave that night on a train to hanoi, 16 hours. We leave at midnight tomorrow! We have loved hoi an!
