TOKYO

Hi guys, we have been and gone to Melbourne for my brothers wedding and it was absolutely stunning. It was great to be home and see everyone even though it was hectic. Thanks mummy for cooking Tim and I our favorite brownie and delicious white choc raspberry muffins. It was so nice not to have rice or noodle for a week....but now we are back on the rice and noodle in Tokyo. We were both on separate flights to tokyo, thank you to kelsey who gave us staff travel we wouldn't have been able to visit Melbourne as easy if it wasnt for your generous heart an giving us staff travel. tim nearly got up graded to business class. I would have been super jealous! but luckily he didnt haha. Tim.....kelsey and I would have had a word with YOU!! it suppose to be us!!! I made it to the hostel in tokyo fairly well, i was quite impressed with myself. 3 flights 17 hours to here, 2 mono rails later and a taxi im finally here. Tim had a lovely 9 hours straight to tokyo! What do we think of tokyo so far.........................its different...............very modern. My personal thought of it is.....people look lifeless and regimented....maybe its because they work 12 hours a day. The last couple of days we have been exploring this endless city and have covered an ants footprint so far. This place is like the whole of australias citys compact with bullet trains going to each city times a hundred. The food is delicious, we have had a Japanese bbq, we have cooked our own scallops in shells, ordered a glass of sake each but with no Japanese we no we some how ordered a bottle of sake and we couldnt be rude and not drink it.. so down it went. Tim has been brave and eaten a octopus arm. I am becoming a pro with my chop sticks now i can even chop things with them. Is that why they are called chop sticks? We have listened to cutsey baby music at the train stations and down the street. We have spent all our money on stupid arcade games. Mum and dad we need some more money? we gambled to much on trying to get a soft toy with a electronic arm and too much on trying to get a huge pile of stacked chocolates, we were so close! hopefully there is a place that can help us with this addiction? it will be good to be locked down on the train for 18 days through russia. Today I caught up with a friend from tauhara college she was an exchange student, julie. 8 years and a far bit has changed. We went to a photo booth where ts makes your eyes look big and turns boys into trannys with pink blusher with pretty lippy. Tim looked scary to me, but beautiful for the lady boys in thailand. Tomorrow we are going to hiromis mum and dads for a night then going to the hot springs. Naked hot springs.............ahh not to sure about this. Count me out!! Really dont want a naked bath with everyone. I might step on something and it wont be a band aid. Wish us luck for naked hot springs and thanks for the heads up nicky church! will add more photos soon
