Dirty Beijing

We have discoverd how to use the outside world internet by using a VPN for just a few dollars a month. So now we can write to you all and moan to you how dirty and gross beijing is and all we want is some fresh air. The pollution rating in melbourne is 30 and beijing is 137 at the moment and heading to 276 says the internet. Yesterday was 160 and we felt the pollution in our throat,lungs and eyes. Makes your throat and chest very sore. We are both not feeling the best today. Tim has a very sore throat and i have a chesty cough. We are staying inside today! We have been here for a week and the pollution hasnt been this bad! The distance of how far you can see is slowly closing in. The masks they sell here are not very good, we should have brought a painting mask with us. We now understand why the chinese spit every 30 seconds as we are constantly dodgeing spit. We guess they spit is because they are spiting the pollution up. Tim is becoming a chinese man! he is joining in on the fun! We have discoverd that the chinese people are the filthest out of all the places we have been too! We will be pleased to get on the train to moscow thats for sure!!! not sure why we are putting our selfs through this. We have been to Tianamen Square, the forbidden city and some markets. We have found our favourite chinese restaurant that we go to everyday. We have found our favourite western restaurant for when we get homesick. We pick up our mongolia visas tomorrow. We meet our tour on the 7th and do the great wall with them. But we are going to go this friday with some hostel people as we are going to go to the old wall because were the tourists go they go to the new wall because some of it has been replaced. So we will be going twice. Many people we have meet have been more than once. We hope its really windy even though its frezzing here to blow the pollution away for friday. Some days it has been -2 or less and we think its really cold! Imagine what russia will be like!!! today its a indoors kinda day cold and very polluted!! so we are free to skype at any time today! love you all xx Photos coming :)
