New Years In Dubai and We are back in Melbourne!

Hi everyone, you have probably wondered where we are and what we are doing. Well we had to end our trip as going to Europe after Moscow was going to be too expensive and we wouldnt be able it to enjoy it as much with little money. We came back to Melbourne on the 2nd of January and have had to find a job, house and save some money to make that happen. We have not written anything as we had to come to terms being back and also we didnt have enough megabites on our internet to download my Dubai photos. Coming back hasnt been so awful as what we thought it would be. Tim found a job straight away as he does, i found a temporary job to do while living in the forest job at the worst plastic most boring shop in the world. Geez how do you get excited about selling a plastic box!! Last week we got the place of nearly our dreams and then the next day I got the job of my dreams. I am going to be a apprentice florist in melbournes top florist. I am so happy to have this opportunity! We are moving into our place on saturday and I am starting my new job tomorrow going back to school once a week. We are so grateful for mum and dad that have had us for a month or so at home. We will miss the cooking and our washing being washed and folded. We are ready for our new experience 2014 will be a great year! We have loved every moment of our trip and seen and experienced so much! Thank you to Yukiko and her amazing family in Japan, Thank you to Hiromis family for inviting us to stay and jarrad for showing us Nikko in Japan. Thank you to our beautiful russian friends Katerina and Alexie we meet in Halong bay, Veitnam and let us stay with them in Moscow, Russia. Best tour guides ever! Thank you my best friend Kelsey for meeting us in Bangkok, Having 3 brains was needed in those countries, Like always amazing to travel with, We have to do it again. Thank you to Michael from the states for saving our knives and sending them from greece. Thank you to mum and dad for reading the blog as soon as it popped up,it kept me going to keep the blog up even though is was tough and fustrating at times. We have meet many people along the way and will keep in touch with you all. Thank you everyone that read our blog and were on the same journey as us! Dubai............you need alot of money to visit which was very hard for us. Everything cost you $100 dollars to do any activity. Booking a table for new years was impossible as it was $600 each for dinner at TGIs which is like cobb and co. We enjoyed dubai but wouldnt return. We couldnt go up the tallest building as it was fully booked out for a month. The palm well you needed to stay at the hotel on the palm and everything is private...but we were on the palm but not for long. We attended a world record for the largest fire work display that was the best thing we saw! Glad we stayed for that! We went to the desert and went on the sand dunes in a 4wd was alot of fun! Dubai we will come back when we are millionaires!!

Last Days in Moscow, Russia

Hi Everyone, We had a fantastic time in Russia! We are now in Dubai with empty pockets and really isnt the place to be with empty pockets. We finished our Tour on the 24th Dec, we had christmas dinner with everyone. I was Head Chef and we made roast veges and already cooked chickens for 12 of us! Turned out alright considering we had very limited untensils and a very blunt knife. That night after our big feast tim and I meet up with our amazing russian friends. She made us xmas cake that was still warm and bottle of vodka and a very kind card. The next morning on xmas day(russia xmas 7th jan) tim and i took the train to there house, we made it there so we did well. We meet Katerina and alexi in Vietnam at Halong bay! Amazing People! Its a shame they dont live in melbourne, we have made great friends on this journey! Katerina showed us around on Christmas day, we walked a very long way, moscow is very grand! we meet up with her husband after he had finished work at lunch time and had the yummist meal, home style polish food. We explored the city some more, went to a scary house where its picth black and people jump out and grab you, then we went ice skating on the paths and then the real thing on ice skating rink. The following day we went to a fairytale castle, dressed up and acted like a princess. We then went home and Katerina cooked us borsht and similar things to dumplings. They really made moscow for us!! We arrived yesterday into abu dhabi then got the bus to dubai we arrived at 1am. Today we thawed out in the sun! Dubai is a strange place, hard to get around, massive massive place, places look a lot closer than they are. You are not allowed to go to most of the beaches unless you stay in the filthy rich hotels. We have very sore feet from out feet being out of shoes and walking in jandals the whole day! sneakers tomorrow and again we will be on out best behaviour, no holding hands, kissing, touching, swearing, shouting, eating, drinking, breathing! Hope you all had a wonderful xmas!

Moscow, Russia

Hello........we arrived safely this morning at 4am into moscow after having a 4 night train trip which wasnt as bad as you would think! The meat in the bread pocket things that russia have kept us happy, they tasted so good! The card games and horror movies kept us going as well as a bit of russian vodka. The scenery did not change at all the whole 5 days it was the same same same snowy, gingerbread villages everywhere (the houses im talking about)and furry russians. (they wear all fur) The whole 5 days were very pretty, magical wonderland. We say goodbye to the people we have meet on our journey tomorrow. On christmas day we wont be lost as we are meeting up with our russian friends we meet in Vietnam on christmas day! Today we explored Red square. Amazing churches! We are 7hours behind aussie. If you would like to skype to see each others cherry faces on christmas i think early in the morning for us would work. Email us first maybe. It isnt so cold here 1 degree, wish it was colder as it is wet and slushy. Fingers crossed for atleast a little snow on christmas day for us! Love you all, bed time for us as we have been up since 3am and done a whole day of sightseeing and it is now 10.10pm. We are doing chris-cringle tomorrow aswell. xxxxxx
